Using stock 8800GTX HSF on a 8800GT [Archive]

I am sure this has already been discussed, but I cannot figure out the right terms for a search. If someone can link me up, I would be grateful.

I have a stock 8800GTX HSF kicking around and was thinking of picking up a cheap 8800GT card. Anyone know if I can use the 8800GTX HSF on the 8800GT with little or no mods? It doesn't have to be a perfect fit.

I believe the mounting holes are different - at least it would explain why there is an HR-03 for both the GTX and the GT as distinct models.

EDIT: The ram layout will also be different --> 512MB on a 256(?) VS 786MB on a 384.

Yeah I know the RAM probably won't fit. Thanks for the response.
