specifically a copper fitting and a brass plug
all i know is i need like a 15% silver solder and proper flux

45% silver alloy like Harris Safety-silv 45 and Harris white flux. Piece of cake if you use those. A 15% phos/copper/silver alloy will also work, but you still need to use the flux.

Depends on the torch head and even more on the size of what you're brazing.
the fittings are 1/2" copper fittings and its a .625" diameter x .5" brass plug

Small mass, easily heated should be fine.

You may have problems with that tip, but you might get locky because the parts are really small. You should get a tip with a flame spreader or swirl tip.

whats the benefits from the different tips?
and im assuming you mean the whole thing needs to be changed right?

hey- if it has that connection you can just buy a $8 dollar can of mapp and use it instead of propane in MOST cases- id double check because some are not made for mapp.
Just be patient... let the torch work :) 15% is a fraction of the cost of 45% but you can get 45% in smaller quantities.

45% will have a lower liquidius point.......than 15%
