8800gtx cooling on the cheap

Since i had a hard time finding info on Ximatek's VD964 VGA Cooler il buy one and post some test results :D

Not bad for 24bux but since it was origionaly targeted for the g80 8800gts/gtx'es you would think it would come with vrm heatsinks:rolleyes: .
Anyways once my Swiftech MC21 vrm heatsinks get here il post some numbers

found a review that included the cooler but they didnt notice the lack of vrm heatsinks

Stock temps with fan@100% was 58/76
VD964 with fans at 100% was 50/58
Not bad for a $24.00 cooler (+shipping and $9.99 for vrm heatsinks)
Think il try slapping some better fans on it next :D

Vantec Tornado, 119 CFM/56.4 dBA/4800 RPM(not a finger friendly fan lol)

Even with the card mounted in an inverted case the fan blew off a vrm heatsinks. anyone have a good thermal tape to recomend? lol

Allready have a maze4 that doesnt fit (not really worth getting a $120 block for a $150 card that is on its way to a secondary box anyways)
