Love these fans, have one on my TRUE and one spare. I can't hear it at 7V and it cools as well as 12V.

Best CFM per DBA, as well as pressure (look at Vapor's testing)

Is this fan best to use on a heatsink? Or can it be good to use as a exhaust fan? I have a old 120mm Panaflo fan w/86.5 CFM & 35 dBA used as a exhaust fan on my CM Elite 330 case. I wondered if this San Ace fan would be good to be used as a exhaust fan.

I've 2 of these for a year or two. I didn't pay that much to begin with, didn't realize they were worth that much money.

Ok thx, but i'v seen a fan that does 90CFM to 18db (i think thats a better ratio (5)). Also i read that my Delta fan does 26.44 mm H²O and this fan does 6.6mm H2O. So i'm still confused, am i miss reading or making a mistake?
Anyway i'll go read Vapor's testing now...

There is no industry standard for fan specs, so companies can pretty much put what they like, the only thing that would probably be 100% accurate is power draw and rpm.
90cfm for 18db for example would certainly be a magic fantasy fan. :D

I wonder if these would be any good on a rack mount cage to act as a blower so to speak ... like a pair or even 2 pairs of these attached on the top of the cage or even at the sides somehow ?

64.7Pa? What does that translate to in mmH20? What that guy said about Delta's I'm going to have to agree with... this design looks pretty old. Deltas are just superior.
BTW that magic fan that guy is talking about is this one here

But there's no way those specs can be accurate.

Get a Delta... lol. And I don't want to hear that they're loud. I have the 190cfm model, and the only noise it makes is the air going through it. The blades are quiet. True, the air can get loud... but thats because at max its pushing 190cfm. At the lowest... its a little more than noticable but not too bad. You can't hear it over a game or a movie at that speed, unless the computer is sitting on your desk... and I hate when people do that.

Unfortunately its not that easy to tell witch one is better
One is high RPM and the other is kinda low, thus the design differences.
If you read the reviews you will see how this "old design" perform

I have the 220CFM :yepp: :D and lol I have my computer on my desk or two main reason. 1. On the floor a kick it :( 2. My Birds chews more cords :(.
The 220CFM's CFM to DB ratio is 3.38, where as the Scythe S-Flex @ 1900RPM has a ratio of only 2.14, and at 1600 rpm 2.25.

I ordered one out of curiosity to see if it can cool my Cooler Master 330 Elite case. Hopefully it will arrive either tomorrow or Thursday. I'll post my thoughts about it after I install it.

I am xtremely tempted to buy one of these to see just how quite it is...if its true (which would be lunacy if it is) i have a feeling they will go out of stock pretty fast.

Dont waste your money, silenx products are flat out gimmick, just like the riddex pest control device that sends "digital pulses" through your house wiring, in some ways silenx fans are actually worse lol

Plus they're too expensive.
They are expensive because supply is short and demand is huge. Demand is huge because... they are the best.
When demand was low (a few years ago) San Aces were dirt cheap :yepp:
