What does anyone think about the new nforce3 board by asus?
Dual channel... :slobber: memory!! Is nfoce still the way to go with amd or is it slowly turning to via chipsets?
Im very interested in ordering a 64 in the near month.

With dual channel ram that would be for the fx, not the basic a64. I think that the way to go would be a 940pin motherboard with a slow clocked opteron and selectable multiplier.

From everything I've read so far, it seems as though the Via chipsets are currently ouotperforming the Nf3 boards. But then again, I haven't read all that much yet, but that's been my interpretation.

according to my reading the fx's are unlocked if you have the right bios on an sk8n. the opteron on the same bios is not unlocked.

The only problem with the nF3 is that it has a bug with HyperTransport, something like it's operating at 600 when it should be at 800,
