In case anyone has missed the article on xbitlabs:

http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/memory/display/20030924152148.html

Corsair is releasing a 2x512MB kit (TwinX1024RE-3200LL) of ECC RAM that runs at 2-3-2-6-1. That's the first ECC RAM released yet that isn't running at something obscene (like HyperX's 3-3-3-8-1).

There's no pricing listed in the article, but given HyperX's pair of 512MB PC3200 ECC sticks @3-3-3 is $450, the Corsair should be more.

Could very well be, it's the "RE" and "LL" designations that are important. If so, $166 for a 512MB stick is a pretty decent price especially consdidering how "new" the item is, and is our first good signal that overclocking might be possible (financially) for average users on the new AMD platform. Following the pricing schemes of other RAM of identical speed+timing, we'd probably expect 256MB sticks to be around $85-90. I don't see any on newegg though.
