Hello all,

I've just made some switchs to turn off 2 of the fans attached to my Scythe Kama-Meter.

However, when I switch them off the alarm on the fan controller goes off >_< the point was to make the PC quiet lol

I've split the red wires and put the switch in their, so I guess its still getting feedback from the yellow wire.

Any ideas on how to disable the alarm feature on the controller?

Cheers!

I dont know anything about how "it", the KAMA thingy, actually works. But being in the electronics field for many many years my knee-jerk reaction is that is has either a voltage or current sensor for tripping the alarm. Either... is easy to "fool" if simply turning off the alarm is your goal. A pull up/down resistor, or a bleeder (if current) is all you need. If you can tell me what it "wants", I can most certainly tell you how to get it. As can many others in here.

Thanks,

To shorten the yellow and black wires I've already cut them, so I'll try disconnecting it to see what happens. Would stop the controller giving a reading for those fans though. Think that might be enough?

I'll give it a bash and post back
