I have a couple of video cards that I don't find any vmods for (like my xfx 6800xt that uses a non-standard PCB). How do I find the right spots for soldering VR's etc etc etc?:)

Depends on what you are modding. Most often, voltage fed to a component has a sense line. We fool the sense line to think less voltage is delivered, by soldering onto the feedback pin for that line. In order to find out which pin is feedback, you need to know about hte controller feeding the voltage.

Here is a great guide, I found over at vr-zone ( phatic wrote this guide in aoaforums, and then also posted it in vr-zone ;) ) that helped me a lot with my X1650 :)
http://www.aoaforums.com/forum/hardware-hacking/39385-diy-volt-mod-guide.html
My results ? ... hehe
X1650 AGP max 3D 06 benchable freqs 635/545 core
after the mods 682/563 (still on air cooling, and with a greek-patent for ram cooling :D)
Ι myself buy a lot of crappy hardware, so I found that guide really useful
Hope I was of a little help,
George :)
