whats the max voltage i should use. I'm using a swiftech waterblock and pump with a heatcore. what would you say be safe temps when overclocking p4's.

ok, i've jsut installed the motherboard. and now installing windows. I checked the temperature and the cpu is at 52c.
Is this normal. Its running hotter than an athlon xp. I've already put a thin layer of arctic silver on the cpu. something is wrong here. i dont wanna overclock yet until i find out if this is normal or not.

Your using water cooling right ?? sounds high !!! where are you taking the temps ? bios or program in windows ?
Check your cooling stuff out, make sure your pumps working ! make sure the cpu block is making good contact with the chip.

Im only using the stock cooler that came with the cpu. i had to order the conversion kit for my amd waterblock.

Well then its probably close to being correct ! did you use the factory TIM on the HS or did you remove it and use some good thermal paste ??

Ok. this is weird. I've been trying to get this 2.4c at 3.6 for last few days. i went up to 1.7volts with no luck. My comp keeps locking up and prime 95 quits somethimes. this morning I set the vcore to 1.55volts which gives me 1.5 volts cause this mobo undervolts alot and now prime95 hasnt quite yet. Im only using 3:2 because i dont have the ram to use 1:1.
