Curious if they are still going to be coming out or if anyone has heard anything else on them?

$266 for a Q9400 IIRC. What i'm wondering is if we'll ever see $100 Quads? Maybe with more competition from AMD? Or we probably have to wait for single cores to be phased out........

I dunno read about the 8000 line.
"Intel is planning to launch a Core 2 Quad Q8000 CPU series, offering entry-level prices to counter AMD's triple-core CPUs in the mainstream market, according to sources at motherboard makers.
Intel will launch the Core 2 Quad Q8200 in the third quarter this year, supporting FSB up to 1333MHz, L2 cache of 4MB and a core frequency of 2.33GHz. Pricing will be set around US$203 in thousand-unit quantities"

$100 quads will take over 5 years, when nehalems have already been mainstream for a few years. processors prices drop quick after launch, but then slowly decreases. quads have been out for a few years, but yet you still see most duals over $100, so for a quad to hit that price range would take quite a while
