Hey guys. So since I made my first Intel build, I've been using this Q6600 B3. While it is a good processor, I'm wanting a bit more. Since it's a B3, I can't get it past 3.2GHz stable. With 45nm quads as a possible upgrade path, I have some questions.

Are the 45nm quads going to drop in price soon? I have heard rumors of significant price drops on them.
Would the Q9300 be a good choice? It seems to have a relatively low max multiplier (7.5) and it seems you need a nice motherboard to get good results. Could my motherboard handle it?
My current Q6600 is lapped, think I could get maybe $150 for it? If I'm going to upgrade, I intend to sell my Q6600 to get some cash back.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Sometime in the 3rd quarter the quad prices are going to drop (http://translate.google.com.au/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hkepc.com%2F%3Fid%3D1 175%26fs%3Dc1h&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8). Probably when the Q9650 hits the market. The Q9450 will be around $220 and the Q9550 will be around $316. The latter has a 8.5 multi which should give 3.6 with ease. But I am not sure with your GA board. The Q9300 is a good chip but not a great chip. The one I had would hit 3.5GHz but with high voltages.

Can you clarify, do you think the Q9450 could pull 3.6GHz (hopefully easily) with my board, or would it have trouble? I know CPUs vary and I wouldn't be able to cherry pick a good one, but do they all clock this high?

I'm also considering selling my board (or just upgrading) and a good one with RAID and probably Crossfire support. Any suggestions on this?
