Hey guys. So since I made my first Intel build, I've been using this Q6600 B3. While it is a good processor, I'm wanting a bit more. Since it's a B3, I can't get it past 3.2GHz stable. With 45nm quads as a possible upgrade path, I have some questions.
Are the 45nm quads going to drop in price soon? I have heard rumors of significant price drops on them.
Would the Q9300 be a good choice? It seems to have a relatively low max multiplier (7.5) and it seems you need a nice motherboard to get good results. Could my motherboard handle it?
My current Q6600 is lapped, think I could get maybe $150 for it? If I'm going to upgrade, I intend to sell my Q6600 to get some cash back.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
