i had my system qx9650 790i mobo gtx 280 dominator ram 1800mhz cas 8 24 at 3.75ghz with the ram at the standard factory settings and front side bus at 1500 x 10 for the o.c (i did not o.c this it was a prebuilt system )
then i had a system problem and it would not post so i clear the coms and lost the o.c the guys who built my system sent me the o.c settings but it would fail prime95 straight away and blue screen all the time
sent my system back for them to set the o.c back up but now they carnt even get the cpu back to 3.75ghz so they changed the cpu and now can only get 3.6ghz with my ram set to 1800mhz they have told me that if i want a higher o.c i need to lower my ram from 1800 to 1700mhz they have told me it wont affect performance much.
i was under the impression that this cpu qx9650 would easily hit 4ghz and that my ram could also be overclocked?
what are peoples opions and views on this situation can anyone help or recommend what i should do?
