OK, Ive been trying for 1 week to get my system stable WIth no luck
If I run anything 3d, like 3dmark Vantage, Age of Conan It crashes sometimes or I get Video Driver as stop responding errors
and I am running My CPU AT STOCK , It pass Memtest 30 loops, I can OCCT 12 hrs Fire up a Game and Crash or sometimes it will plat the I get Video Drivers has stop responding. I have tried all kinds of combo, Each time with a Format and Fresh install of Vista 64 SP1

Bios 0701
Q9550 cpu
E8400
GTX 280
ATI 4870
Gskill PC8800 Ram

as you can see Ive tried some different combos, Not sure how the motherboard can be bad and Pass Memtest and OCCT for hours

HELP!!

I get the distinct feeling that its your graphics card that borked.

underclock it on core and memory by 20mhz and see if that fixes it

I bet the new nvidia cards and drivers arent that good either because my mate has alot of problems with his 9800gtx and Vista X64 but in XP it is fine, Try use the 4870 card and use Catalyst 8.2 if possible and see if it helps. All my vpu recovery problems got solved by that except for GRID

It sounds like it is most likely the motherboard to me. a somewhat less likely culprit would be the PSU.
It is easy to blame vista but that IMHO is extremely unlikely. RMA the mobo.

I think the nvidia problem is with the drivers I had issues with my 9800gx2 and GTX280 with vista x64. The G92s I have work fine and so does my G80.

in what ... XP or vista?

also have you manually entered your ram settings ... cause i know when i looked at mine they were kinda screwey so i had to manually put them in
and any way you can take some screenies of your BIOS just so we can see the ram settings and see if everything is ok with them?

well my p5e3 Premium works fine.. so it something with this board

I've now had this problem twice, once the board didn't like the memory I had in it, dieing Micron D9 that I hadn't figured out was dieing yet, and the other time, which is right now, the PCIe bus puts out really unstable power as far as I can tell. So far every time I've had the error it's the board not liking something.

So to sum it up, check power supply, RAM, Video Card, and lastly motherboard. In your case I'd pass go not collect $200 and go straight to Asus RMA for the board.
