Im adding in readpoints, may as well add voltmods at the same time :)

I could hopefully figure them out myself...but if anyone already knows the mods please feel free to save my time :D

I'm working on this board as of...yesterday m8.

Just checked the board for some measurement points ( more to come tomorrow, need to hook up with my bed now :p: )
I'll work out the "Vmods" tomorrow.

Some voltage measurement points for the P5E64 WS Evolution:

good to show us the measure points ;)

As for the voltage mods.... who will ever need more than 2.1v in cpu? :D

2.1V ? Say 2.3V! Me... if I was running 65nm chips now :p:

Voltmods arent just about raw volts, its about precision and control ;)

Thanks for the pic Bill- gave me an easier alternative VDIMM measure point- I was gonna solder to the pin on the underside. Got everything shaped and ready to solder but too damn tired after work.

Do you have a PLL readpoint? :D

Cheers,

K

I'll focus on this motherboard today, and try to find all the measurement points and mods and do some testing as well.
If everything goes well, I shall have new pictures with more reading points & mods in the evening or late night.

Updated pic with the following voltages measurement points:
CPU Voltage ( Vcore )
RAM Voltage ( Vddr )
NorthBridge Voltage ( Vnb )
SouthBridge SATA/PCI-E 1.5V Voltage ( Vsb_pcie )
FSB Termination Voltage ( Vfsb ) [ aka VTT Voltage ]
DDR3 RAM Termination Voltage ( DDRvtt ) [ Vddr_vtt ]
CPU PLL Voltage ( Vpll )

Sorry for not making any progress, I'm having a hard time balancing my time lately.
Too many... things to do, so little time ( hmmm... I could swear I'm hearing a chic singing "I'm just a girl, taking your time" :p: ) :D

Same :( Took me 3 days to do those 2 bits of wire-bending, solder them and take pics....pathetic! :D

Im finding that VDIMM overvolts around 0.08V, VCore, vNB and vPLL are pretty accurate compared to BIOS.

:) Thanks for the info on readpoints!

My pleasure to help mate :)
I'm working on the rest slowly unfortunately ( my life has become very very complicated and out of control lately :( and my computer time has been decreased to... sometimes less than 1 hour per day )

It does pretty nicely actually.
Just read the two/three dedicated threads about it.

will do, am looking for a new board, and want something that clocks well but not everyone and their uncle has.

BenchZowner, I am curious, what is your SB temp.?

I will take a look tomorrow and I'll let you know.
I have changed the thermal paste under the stock heatsinks however ( I assume that they'd be a bit hotter with the stock TIM ) [ it sucked at least when I was removing it :p: ]

Hm, yeah. I have this board running at default settings. I couldn't even touch the SB heatsink for more than 3 seconds. I ended up changing the volt. to 1.05v (I think). Still, it runs too hot. I thought it was normal for the ICH7R chip, no? I guess I'll have to change the thermal paste.

With the SB voltage at stock, and 26C room temp, the SB is at 42C at the moment ( currently having some IO as I'm encoding a AVI file to MPEG-2 format for DVD Authoring ).

I can touch the heatsink, I can touch the heatsink :p: yay! :D
