View Full Version : Which media player should i use for this avi file

I got this film from a friend but canīt play it. We made a bet that i will find a player that can play the film. Pls does anyone have an idea. I install most codec for WMP and it only displays that i should go to a site to download a player:confused::confused: Thanks for your help in advance:)

that error message is embeeded in the wanted.avi itself... it's not actually a windows message. your "friend" :rofl: got that file off limewire or a torrent. it's not gonna play in any player... :rofl:
Wanted isn't out except in the theater yet, so the only way someone would be able to upload it is off a dvd pre-screener or a pirate camvid.

but in this case it's a bait file. even if you do go to the site it directs you to in the message and download the player it asks you too. it'll infect your pc. it's a spyware/virus bait file. delete the file, it's no good. limewire and torrents are full of these, if you dl movies expect to get quite a few.. they are unavoidable, be prepared to delete probably 8 out of 10 that you dl. it's part of the game.

not that we or anybody else on this forum condone this type of activity. ;)

dont pay him.. these players below will play them beautifully.. also included is a codec pack..

that is true, actually the avi played fine in the OP... it's not his fault it's a bait file instead of a movie, like the title advertised it to be...
so you won the bet, the 3 minute avi file played fine.
