i was surfing the net and ran into a sight with some interesting fluid. http://www.app-therm.com/product_hexid.asp the fluid characteristics look descent for a chilled water setup.

Did you look into it and get a price on the stuff? Looks a lot like the 3M stuff that people were using for submersion systems.

I know the 3M Florintene (sp?) was $300 US for 5gal. :down:

Well fluor-intert is a superb coolant. It has exellent head-conductivity, is pretty viscous and is totally not-conductive so its super ideal for submersion build. it does however have two very big problems associated with it:
- Its pricey as HELL! (as noted by a previous poster)
- It evaporates rather quickly, so the only practical way to use it is in a completely closed system.
The price means that you just can't justify it for use over water in a regular water-cooling setup, and when it comes to submersion-projects, the facts that it evaporates quickly presents a huge hassle (although not something you can't overcome with a good design)

yes it disapears before eyes also can see the cash going up in smoke, note will burn bare skin if in contact
