I have a question. When you install the 10k variabel resistance with 3 legs, do you power up the resistance to 10k and then increasing the volt by turning the resistance down, or do you install the resistance with 0k and then slowly power up towards the 10k for the increase????

Start wi the vr set to it's highest ohm's setting.

Then by lowering the resistance from there, you will raise the voltage.

I just dont think that is logic! But maybe I should try it out

Ive just did the mod. But when I turn off the pc and lowers the resistance the volt wont go up? Isnt that strange?

Now it works. My card is a 9800pro 256mb ddr2.
With 1.750v I can only oc to 432mhz on the core and still 380*2 on the mem. Can I give the core some more?

Yes try 1.8volts! and whit good cooling you can go to 1.85-1.9volts!

What kind of cooling do you have on your card? You better make sure its good.

I started at 9kohm and it gave me about 1.73vgpu.

thats bad either the shim is too high or that card is a relaly really bad oc'r...

he's probably using the stock cooler...

put a bigger heatsink on there and you can probably hit 450-470

My 9800np does 460 on the core with stock cooling. I upped the volts to 1.75 no improvements still locks at 470 with the quickness.
