"x has stopped working"

Hello,

I'm using Vista Premium 64 bit and i'm having problems with windows media player crashing on every launch:

"Windows Media Player" has stopped working

Once I try opening it again its fine.

This also happens on internet explorer every now and now too.

As its a recurring problem, I hope there's something I could do to prevent it.

Any suggestions on what the problem could be?
