I'm guessing this one's been up on the forums before but I cant find it if it has so just link me if you can.

Otherwise can somone please give me an idea on what sort of software to use with my TV card? I've put my old compro DTV 300T back in my rig and installed the latest drivers, however I cant download the compro software to actually watch TV on, this in my opinion is not really a bad thing because the software has always been awful!

does anyone know any software (preferably free) that i could use with my TV tuner card? It needs to be able to pick up terestrial digital TV and work in the UK asn that's where i live.

If there's no decent free ones of if you can recomend one that's worth paying for please say.

Not sure if they're the "best" cause I don't have a ton of varied experience with tuner hardware but a couple options offhand are BeyondTV 4 and SageTV. There's always Windows Media Center Edition too if ur building a HTPC box or something.

I searched for ages trying to find decent media center software for my HTPC. I finally managed to find the perfect solution in Media Portal (http://www.team-mediaportal.com/)

No i'm not trying to build a media box, this is first and formost a gaming rig, but i'm limited for space in here so i dont have room for a TV, hi-fi, DVD plaer ect.. so my computer needs to do it all.

The only thing it cant do at the moment is shot terestrial digital TV which is what i need, but i've just done a fresh clean install of windows to get everything running smooth and i dont want to be testing software out on it.

If i can get a general consensus of an application beeing pretty good then i'll install it/buy it but i'm going to try and do my research first
