I ordered 2 GTX 280 for SLi on Friday and going to pick them up tomorrow. I was thinking though, I saw this interesting chart of GTX 280 Tri-SLi in guru3d.com (http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-280-sli-triple-review-test/10) Tri-SLi actually works pretty good.

So, in your personal opinion what would be best? 3 GTX 260 or 2 GTX 280? (dont tell me about the 4870, I already know they are half the price and quite fast. Just tell me between these two :P)

So consfused right now, dont know what to pick :confused::confused:

SLI is way more mature and has way less troubles than Tri-SLI, i'd go for the 280s.

Btw, what motherboard are you using?

If I would go for more then one card, then definately I would go for 2 cards. :)

It seems like sli scales much better then tri-sli. Also you are saving 2 slots (either for some additional card or for better ventilation). More of DDR3 is better as well!

2 GTX280 >> 3 GTX260 in my book
