im just thinking grab one 4870 now than i can add another one later.. but im not sure how the 2 4850's compare to the one 4870 right now..
what brand is the best to get im looking at either the asus, msi or powercolor ones. the rebates are the only thing concering me right now.. not sure if ill ever see the rebates from powercolor or others. asus is a bigger company and may be a better bet for the reabtes??
i can get the powercolor ones though for 159 after rebate per card right now and the asus ones are 165 each after rebate??

The Sapphire cards are 155 after rebate and coupon at newegg using the VGA62620 code.

i see that now.. but is it worth it over the powercolor ones?? they are the same cards are they not.. just different brands. and i have bought powercolor many times before and never had a issue my main concern here is getting the rebates back from one of these companies.. the asus cards are also 150$ after rebate and the powercolor are 150$ after rebate. im thinking maybe the asus may be the best bet for rebates??

Yea, the code stopped working with the Asus card a day or two ago. Design-wise, they're all the same. All are based on the ATI reference design, so just go with the combination of warranty and price you like best. I'm not sure which cards it works with other than the Sapphire at the moment, but there are only a few vendors, try it out :P. As far as rebates go, pretty much every vendor outsources their rebates to someone else. You might try googling the rebate addresses and see what you get. I try to stay away from rebates as much as possible after being burned a few times.
