My windows install on my boot drive is royally :banana::banana::banana:ed. I need a program that will allow me to create a NTFS partition out of the remaining free space on the drive so I can reinstall windows on the new partition. It also has to leave the files already on the drive intact. Freeware is nice but I'm willing to pay for a program if need be.

That's what I'll end up doing if my aforementioned plan fails.

Parition Magic 8.0 is what i use and works great. you can bittorrent it and its like 80mb i think is like the total size of the install file. but when its installed i think it only takes up 45mb, only reason for the big download is it has a few extra progs in it that you can use. hope you get it fixed without buying a new drive, but like Serp said, Drives are real cheap and you would be dumb if you didnt just go ahead and buy one. good luck bro

Acronis Disk Director. Best disk management software around. Partition Magic is magic if it actually works. Usually it just hoses all your data. Symantec blows.:shakes:
