Want to get the ic7-g refurb at newegg for $100 and want to know if there are any problems. Ive seen that it doesnt do 1/1 over 250fsb very well which isnt a problem for me, but if i get a 2.4c i want to make sure this board can do some really high fsb's, maybe even over 300. Im not aiming high, but i do want to get the most bang for my buck with an intel proccesor/mobo combo under $300. Thanks.

The latest bios's (16 and 17) seem to solve the +255FSB, 1:1 problem.
I had no problem running some OCZ PC4000 at 275Mhz, 1:1, with the latest bios.
Even at those high FSB's, you can use the 5:4 or 3:2 dividers, which will give some nice memory speed.
100$ for a refurb IC7-G is a nice deal, unless something's really messed up with the board. In that case, you can always return it.

no more known issues.
just try to do a Vdimm mod to it if you can to show it's real power.
the highest default is 2.8 volts which is nothing.
but with a Vdimm mod, those boards absolutly fly ;)

Isnt the vdimm on the ic7 really tough though?

Known issue: When MIC is plugged into the board you get horrendous interference on Audio Out. Screws ya over fer GameVoice / Teamspeak etc when gamin' online.

No fix other than to get the board modded by Abit at cost to you (shipping)
