Push and Pull worth it?

So is there any benefit to doing push and pull on a radiator? I have seen lots of opinions on Push or Pull. But what about both?

I'm assuming that it would be more beneficial for a High FPI rad like a GTX 360?

Right now I currently have a PA 120.3 going push/pull, since someone told me that was best when I was first getting into WC.

Depends on ur rad and the fans ur using. The PA series is one of the rads with least amount of pressure drop trough the rad. It also doesnt scale that well with huge fans. If ur using 38mm fans u probably wont notice any difference with push\pull than with only pull(or push) alone. But, why dont u just test it urself? remove 3 fans and see if the temp rises.

Push pull works really good with low spin fans to get near medium spin fan performance.

However push pull makes the thing very bulky and very thick, expecially if its a PA.

Usually 1 excellent static fan is enough.

Do it only when you have nothing else to do. Its the kind of thing like going from SLI to Tri-SLI rofl. Benefit, yeah.. but not so much, if any :)

Yeah that was the Idea, as Im using all D12SL's No worries on space with a MM case!

I like push pull just because it gets much better air flow out of the radiators, which in my MM duality cools
both my MCP355 w/XSPC resi tops, plus i have the HD's on the fans and I like the added airflow over the motherboards.
But mine is a special case, so that does make a difference.

had push/pull on my H/C for year's, worked great!

as stated previously i think it is more beneficial to high FPI rad's

i also think it's beneficial when NOT using a shroud

IIRC push/pull is 1c-2c better than push or pull

that being said; if i had the room in my case i'd have push/pull on both RAD's

I say that if it is PUSH / PULL you deffinately need shrouds..... at least the 1 1/2" off the surface of the RAD.
Only becuase the hub (spindle) of the fan will deffinately be a dead spot - since they are lined up together! The Shroud helps to avoid this dead spot.

But as far as heat is concerned - your greatest temp benefit would only come if the Rad is under a decent heat load. So if you loaded it up with say 6 Ultra Kaze 3000 (133cfm) fans and were only cooling your processor..... you would get the same performance as only 3. :) I hope Im making since,,,,,,,
