I recently had a fitting crack on my M184 GTX Radiator and am impressed with HWLabs commitment to their customers.
I just thought id share the response from them with you guys
G'day Brennan.
No worries.
Just please get me your shipping address and day time phone number, and I'll have one unit sent off in your direction.
There are quite a number of things we simply need to find out with regards to this failure to improve our quality system. (Yes such things apply when hobbies become work).
What I primarily want to eliminate is the possibility of the male fittings you use stressing the fittings and/or the possibility of inconsistencies in the material supplied to us for that part.
Kindly hold on to that unit until we can arrange for pick up and return.
Do advise.
Cheers,
Willie
PS Great mod!

Nice...always good to get additional information, especially with the fact that your misfortune could help prevent it for someone else. Plus, added a very personal touch to the customer service you receive.

customer service is one thing i love about places. usually whenever i buy stuff i buy for customer service not price :P. might as well pay a little more if you can get people that will help you when you need it. tell you one thing tho i have not found a mobo company to date that has good customer service.

Good stuff, glad to hear it!
I couldn't say enough good about the construction quality and attention to detail on my 480GTX's, HWlabs obviously puts alot of effort into their QC.

that's good to hear. i wished that they have local distro/retail available, save us Philippine buyers from some import duties, since they have offices here...

Agreed on the mobo part
Gotta tell you though, the best customer service is the kind you don't have to call in the first place.

Always comforting to see manufacturers stand behind their products...
Still waiting for some answers from XSPC regarding their QC on the DDC 3.2 reservoir tops...

It's the customer service experiences like this that make me stay with (and, many time, even pay a little more for products from) a particular vendor.
"Stuff happens", we all know that, but it's how the vendor handles things when it does that determines my loyalty as a customer.
(within reason of course. if "stuff" happens too often, that may be a whole different story).

Pretty cool that they give you a free radiator, however an 80mm radiator is pretty useless :p:

Could use it for one of those mini projects. Pair it up with a DB-1 pump and use it to cool chipsets or something, or would it be capable of cooling an xbox/PS3 chip?

Aren't M184 rads based on 92mm fans?

Aren't M184 rads based on 92mm fans?
yep 2 x 92
I think a lot of people oversize their rads
Martins testing has shown that the GTXs really perform with high-flow fans
im gona try teaming it with a Delta 80x38mm PFB0812UHE Ultra High Speed Fan to cool the CPU on my HTPC

hmmm 65dba... how can I damp that?... Perhaps I could make a hood for it similar to silverstone's psu hood but mount it internally to draw air up from under the PC.... need to sketchitup
anyone have ideas for a good 80mm fan?
