Hi i need some help , with my motherboard.
I have XFX 780i

CPU=Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.66GHz (~3246MHz 4 CPU)
BiosDate=05/30/08
Memory=2045 MB
OS=Windows Vista Ultimate x64 Edition (6.0.6000)
DirectX=10.0
Creative SB X-Fi
VGA NV GTX 280

I have problem using my 2x2GB Mushkin set with ANY setings.

When i change it to my 2x1GB Corsair XMS i can use it with ANY

I was just going to ask you which 2x2GB memory is certified for 780i that

Thank you.

I'm taking a shot here, but the problem might be with Vista. I would install Vista with only one stick of memory. (Not all 4 gigs.) Download all the Vista updates and install them. That includes Vista SP1.
Go into the BIOS and change the settings that will allow all four gigabytes. (Mem timings and/or board and memory volts.) Power off and safely install the rest of the sticks of memory.
Some people reported that installing Vista would give them a BSOD when they had four gigabytes of memory in their system. The updates fix the issue.
Or try Memtest for a bad stick of RAM.

Ill try it , thanks for the fast respond. So any models that are 100% proof that work with your board with no problems at all? And i am not sure i mention that i am with the latest bios.

Run memtest86 from memtest.org to check for a bad stick. Vista without SP will blue screen on install everytime and then give you lots of problems without kb929777. It shipped with a flaw when running more than 3GB of memory even on 64 bit. Install with two gigs and than download the patch from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929777 for your version of Vista. You should be cool after that. If the board runs with the other memory than it is almost 100% sure to not be a board problem. If memtest comes up fine it is probably just that patch. If you have problems even with loose timings you can always check SLIzone.com for certified memory. We also have a memory QVL on our site of even nonSLI memory.
