hey all,
I was wondering how to clean my mobo from the adhesive insulation that I used on it. I've tried meths and white spirit but neither worked. I was just wondering what you guys use to clean ur mobos.
thanks in advance.

Nail varnish (acetone) seems to work great.

Acetone on electronics... ouch! That seems really rough. Won't acetone basically eat up plastics like its candy? I remember using acetone on some q-tips to clean some stuff and I put the used q-tip onto the plastic lid of the plastic Q-tip box. When I came back to clean up an hour later the head of the Q-tip had basically fused together with the plastic lid to the point where I could even remove it. All I'm saying is that I'd be real careful to use something that reactive on sensitive electronics. if your using something that agressive on your board then I highly recommend you use something else to rinse everything off thoroughly immediately afterwards, otherwise nasty things could happen during a few hours.

i used petrol and diesel ... but it too eat up plastics .. so you have to be careful .. using cotton buds also works
