Are all backplates/bolt through kits created equal?

Is there anything I need to know about one vs the other. Or are they ALL just a hunk of metal that doesnt short out your board while helping in to NOT bend under the strain. And are they pretty much universal? Will any one recommended fit my Ninja?

Who is a reliable vendor for these? The Egg, Xoxide, and others do not seem to carry them.

I got some of the TRUE backplates...you may have to do some re-engineering if you need to use screws that do not fit the plate... I dunnot if they are all exactly the same but the one on the TRUE is identical to the one on my Enzotech

If thats an offer to ship me one I'll take it!!! But I dont want to put anyone out considering i can order a bolt thru kit for $10. If your willing to drop one in an envalope... Hell I'll reimburse you for the shipping. Let me know. I dont screw around, I have been doing Ebay for years, buying and selling, have done hundreds of transactions and I have 100% positive feedback. I guess Im just saying that if you ship me one you dont have to worry about getting stiffed for the shipping. Otherwise....

I am thinking of ordering the Thermaltake bolt through kit from the Egg. $11 shipped. If the screws dont work for my ninja I'll just drill out the fittings (I assume they are just threaded press nuts) and use my own hardware.

Questions: Will it work on my board and most likely to work on my next board? Whatever that board may be. Do they just fit because the 775 is standardized? Or do I need to do some homework.

They will work on any 775 board as long as there are no components , such as resistors in the way on the back of the board.

That was basically what i am wondering. Are there components on.. some.. most.. boards? Dont the backplates have a rubber layer to protect/prevent issues from components?

Most of them do have some sort of rubber, Swiftech BPs got thin white plastic while Scythe backplate's got 2-3mm thick stiff foam to prevent shorting things on your mobo.

There's nothing on the other side of majority of boards [except the very middle, exactly behind CPU, but most BPs got some free space there]
