My work was throwing away a NesLab RTE-100 chiller/recirculator with a waterbath... Some quick specs:

1200 Btu/hr
3 gpm
Cools to -15 degrees celsius.

My question is... is it worth spending the money to get a water chilled system going with this thing... I allready have:
KOOLANCE CHC-A05 Motherboard Northbridge Cooling Block
ZALMAN ZM-WB3 GOLD CPU Water Cooling System Block (for LGA 775 aka most pentiums)
KOOLANCE CHC-35-D06 GPU Cooling Block (I used this for my south bridge)

So my computer specs are:
Core 2 Duo E6750
Gigabyte DSR3 board
2x 250 seagate baracudas in raid 0
Visiontek radeon 4850 (before you say anything yeah I shoulda waited for the 4870... I got this for $145 after taxes at bestbuy though)....

All the blocks are from a previous attempt and if they work all I'll have to buy is a GPU block. Something like this I think:

My main concern about doing this is that I don't like leaving my computer on all day and night. If i do this will I have to leave the Chiller running all the time? that electric bill will be rediculous...

Secondarily I'm worried about leaks... and condensation...

Sorry for the long winded post... Thanks for your help and ideas.

that will work if into OC'ing an silence. most chillers have thermostat, so it wont be 7/24 cooling, you can dail the temp u want, if you don't to insulate.

if unit is sell able its worth $1,000-1,500 an get what you want

well... I thought about selling it but I'm not sure about the ethics of it. I got it free from work who were throwing it away... A well funded lab that doesnt care about getting any money out of their equipment. I don't know if its trackable or what?
