PS help

I'm trying to take a picture and remove the blue sky and insert a cloudy sky. I outlined the sky with the magnetic tool and cut it off as a layer. How do I open another pic as a layer? It seems like anytime I try to open the other picture it opens a whole new project.

Or should I have cut off the ground as a layer instead of the sky? Now where the sky should have been there is a big white space. If that is the background then if you place the sky underneath the ground then you wont be able to see the sky at all because of the white?:shrug:

oh ya faced this issue..

your background i guess is white.. u need to delete the white background.. and paste the first picture on a project that has a transparent background.. then cut off with magnetic tool..

the picture opening as a new project is normal.. i havent worked outa way around this.. what u do is cascade both windows.. and drag the second pic from the new project and drop it onto the layers palette of the first project.. then u can close the new project... and the new pic will be there as a layer... pm me if u need a more detailed explanation :D
