Hey all, I just got back in from college and my computer is failing to boot. It keeps showing a blue screen with the error c000021a. I have tried booting to safe mode, and last known good configuration, but either way it stops and shows the blue screen with that error. The only thing I know I've done to change system files (accidentally, I was trying to make my own XP using nLite but the files installed to vista instead) was by using FlyakiteMACOSX version 3. As soon as I realised what had happened I uninstalled it and hoped it would be fine. But evidentally it is not. I have googled this problem and I have read that it could be driver problems. So my thinking is to just put in the Vista CD and choose a repair. Another note is, this Vista isn't legit...
Please help, free cookies for the person who rescues my PC.

Did this PC travel with you back and forth? If so something may have com loose inside. If everything is good and the repair install doesn't help you may have damaged the drive.
If its related to you illegal copy of Vista (not smart to openly share that like this) then there is nothing anyone can or should do to help you fix that.

No this PC stays in my room all the time. I'll try a restore when I find the disk. I know it's not good to share that information but if it helps to get my PC back then I will. The machine boots fine, goes to the loading screen and then goes the blue screen. So I don't think my HDD is on it's way out. And I only bought it about 6 months ago anyway.

Fixed =]
I had to borrow my step dads DVD-RW drive because all 3 that I had in my system were too crap to recognise the Vista DVD. I booted from the DVD and did a system restore. Booted up fine. A bit slow, but still it all works so I'm ecstatic. As soon as I can I'm investing in a 4TB RAID5 hot swap drive thingy. :p:
