Does anyone know of a program that will password protect a folder like WinRAR can do for archives? I've googled and all I've found are programs that do similar things like hide the folder. But none of them just prompt you for a password when you go to access a specific folder.
I know you can change the access rights to certain folders, but I don't have a password on my account and don't want one on it. So, any ideas?

make an admin account and give it ownership of the folder and remove read permissions from your current account, or u could get an encrytion program and encrypt that folder, and what os do u have

Microsoft Private Folder 1.0, they never included it in an OS because they feared n00bs would store all there data in it and forget the password, since there is no other way in. The best thing is that it is totally free.

Why get an encryption program when anything based on NT can encrypt a folder/file on it's own?
Just don't format your computer before attaining your keys, or else the encrypted files are lost forever.

You could try TrueCrypt and create a dynamic volume contained in a file...
I'm not sure if that's exactly what you want though.
