Hi.

I'm not asking for which specific monitor to buy, but rather asking for people for their opinions on size.

I currently have a 20" Samsung 205bw and a 15" LG (mIRC, foobar etc, found it at the dump)

My question is, would you rather have another 20" 205BW, or should I attempt to sell both to buy a 24".

I would like a 24" obviously for the larger resolution, HDMI input (DVI to HDMI W/ 3870), but do you think I would be better off with another 20"

I have plenty of room, and I would be able to pay for both easily, but I'm not sure if the price of a 24" justifies the space when I could get another 20"...

I can get the same exact 205bw model for 189.00 right now if I wanted too, but I can also attempt to sell my 205bw for about 110 or so, and continue to save for a nicer 24" from samsung or dell, what not, with HDMI inputs, 1920x1200 resolutuon and all that good stuff.

Thoughts opinions from anyone?

I'd go for the second 205BW, but it's quite personal because I find working with two monitors more of a comfort than one. On one monitor you have your desktop and on the other you have apps running or something like that. It's more useful for office work than for gaming tho, gaming with two monitors is annoying with the crack in the middle.

go with 24

1920x1200 for full HD, and the dot wont be too small to read.

Definitely the 24".

Yes definetly the 24" 1920x1200. I just bought a 30" 2560x1600 myself, the higher resolution is really nice.

Interesting.

I guess 24" it is.

Can someone clarify something for me?

Would going from DVI TO HDMI to monitor be the same as just a straight DVI cable?

If I were to buy an HDMI cable and use it with the 3870 instead of regular DVI, is there a difference?

Not real good with video/audio >_>
