Having sold my ABIT NF7-S (times two!) and XP1700+ i've ordered new kit!

1 x 2.4c 800FSB Pentium 4 Retail (use stock sink for a while)
1 x ABIT IC7-G motherboard
1 x 120GB Seagate SATA HDD

Will use existing PSU, Case, Vid card (well duh its new!) and optics and memory (as it was a §§§§§ to get rid of! and mobo has 4 slots)

so far very very pleased with it

Got an IC7-G but with updated NB cooler thats the same as the Max3 board :smileysex

CPU is P4 2.4c with code SLW6F MALAY L321A736 M322B642 0877 - I have no idea if this is good or not anyone advise??

Currently sitting at 3.00GHz (250*12 5:4) but will try pushing it further.

I am using stock sink, with default volts its hittinh 64c when folding which to me is way too high (is that my AMD brain saying careful??) Did you remove the TIM and use AS3 on yours??

Which cooler would be best??

It feels slightly snapper in general response than my old nForce2 kit and boots that little faster....

Any tips greatly appreciated ohhh i'm running Corsair XMS3200 do I manually set RAM timings??

Step 1: Lap cpu.
Step 2: Put on bigger cooler.
Step 3: Increase case airflow.

Its alittle different OCing wise, takes some time to get used to the settings on Inel vs AMD.

My first 3D Mark was a little disappointed with only 15k compared to the 18k I got with AMD at same speeds (2.4Ghz on both 200*12)

You just don't have it tweaked yet !!!

Suppose AMD was 4-2-2-2 on RAM as this is 7-3-3-2.5 (set at spd at mo) and no GAT applied :)

Right then done some tweaking and so far hit 3.24GHz (270*12) and rising :D 3D 01 is 18767 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7011540) and having errors running 3D 03 as it says its corrupt...

Memory is sitting @ 216MHz with 2-7-3-3 2.8v but can't enable any GAT at all as hangs...

Still very pleased so far :) :toast: looking to higher clocks but need new cooler any suggestions??
