I dunno.. It's one of those Nvidia sponsored titles with an Nvidia advert all over one of the loading screens. But it does run smooth, with a min avg 74fps on scene 2 and a max avg of 128fps on scene 3. This is with 3870@825/1201 1680x1050. No AA, all settings except shadows maxed.
Yet again this is another title where there is no noticeable, at least to me, difference between DX9 and DX10 modes.

For those who are interested, here are my scores with an E4300 OC'd to 2.5ghz, 3gb RAm, and a 4850. All settings set to super high, with AA set to 8X and a res of 1680x1050:

Gorgeous game, I just might have to pick it up.
Edit: Here's another bench with the same settings but my 4800 OC'd to 665/1115:

i didnt know devil may cry is available on pc, awesome!
i loved the first part and knew it would be successfull and spwan sequels, but since im not really into consoles i had to pass on them :(

Surprise!
Crossfire when renamed to fear.exe:

Pretty good scaling (over 90%) and the title doesn't even have crossfire support. Works without issues. Beating 4850 just a little.

l7r, the scaling thanks to renaming the file is not cause the game sucks and doesnt have xfire support, but cause the ati driver has no profile for the devil may cry exe ;)
so once you rename it to fear, the driver wll use the fear profile, which means afr gets enabled. before you renamed it was probably sfr by default for unknown exe files.
check out my laptops performance :D
single core pentum m 1.7ghz and 6600go
i was actually surprised the game works without a glitch and the hdr image quality is pretty nice!

i wonder what is limiting me more, the cpu or the gpu, or the fact that i only have 512mb memory in this laptop and the page file jumps to 800mb or so ^^

What's wrong with my system ?
I am assuming its the video card because I've seen people with the same processor getting the highest rating (S).
I was thinking of going for the GeForce 9600GT seeing as I my wallet can't go anywhere near the 8800GT.
Any recommendations ?
I'm quite basic when it comes to this overclocking and video card stuff.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think everyone with a listed 1.8ghz processor was actually running at 2.5ghz or above, myself included. Maybe try OC'ing your cpu and see if that helps...it should OC relatively well, isn't the E6300 just an E4300 with VT enabled?

ATI HD4850 512MB DDR3 in this game get about twice fps of 8800GTS 320MB at DX10, I never try these cards at DX9
But I can't get the screenshot yet :( Let me get sometime to get FRAPS
ATI HD4850 came out about a week ago in Indonesia, just about one or two days after some leaking preview about it leaked to public, Powercolor and HIS are the brand that out since a week ago, but so limited at price of 220 dollars
I myself bought it at 24 june 2008 since it makes me wonder of how 4870 will perform, but once again my budget is limited at very last time because I'm thinking of getting Q6600 and 2 more gigs RAM so I prefer 4850 :)

I'm upgrading from a 7600GS so that's a big step for me.
Hey guys I am having a problem here. When I had XP x64, I could select 1600x1200 as the resolution in this benchmark. However, now that I have Vista x64, the highest resolution it is allowing me to select is 1280x1024, in both the DX10 and DX9 version. Is there a problem here? How can I get 1600x1200? Is there a config file I can edit?

I'll try it the next time I have the cards installed in the 790i (probably tomorrow) - they're currently in separate machines running Folding@Home. I can't guarantee it will work as the C16xQ AA may cause the video cards to run out of video memory at 2560x1600 though, the 512MB (per GPU) memory is the main disadvantage of 9800GX2s compared to GTX 280s. I know Oblivion absolutely kills them with 16xQ, usually only 1 FPS when it doesn't crash on an out of video memory error.

Hi Felipe, not a problem at all pal. Nice to see this is getting some attention. Sorry for late reply. I have used this renaming trick for a few games earlier but I don't have them anymore, so I can't tell exact performance gains. Also I don't know if those games have CF support today? But anyway....
For Assassins Creed I used FEAR.exe and get some improvement (around 25-40%) over single card. With default.exe I got performance loss compared to single card. But also I get one issue which caused the game stuck (on a road near Jerusalem), but nothing major.
Exactly the same thing with Jericho but no freezing (25-50% gain). But I had to disable motion blur in graphic settings (or that kind of effect if I remember correctly).
For GRID I used AFR-FriendlyD3D.exe and get noticeable boost. But got some flickering textures in buildings. Now I use catalyst 8.7 beta which has CF profile and it works without issues.
That's all I can remember, but I pm you if I remember other games.
btw, AFR-FriendlyD3D.exe was implementent for games which doesn't have crossfire support and it forces the game to use Alternative Frame Rendering. Unfortunately, nowadays it just doesn't work as planned. I haven't had any use for it but Race Driver GRID. Seems like waiting for drivers with CF support is only hope or trying these renaming tricks. :)
sorry for of topic.

Check your display frequency in "PC Settings" (on main screen). It have to be set no higher than your display default in maximum resolution (maybe 60Hz).
nice

What was really weird for me was that on my Vista x64 installation, I had to change the refresh rate to 59 Hz, but it worked fine on my Vista x86 partition at 60 Hz.
I have the full game and for me in Vista x64 in DX10 mode, setting refresh rate to 59Hz enabled my max resolution of 1600x1200.

Well hey not wanting to be left out...I ran it this afternoon. My system is set to it's daily clock and this is also my gaming clocks for my 260GTX
All settings were maxed and AAx8. Just another reason why I am pleased with this card.....

Then I gave it a go with the C16xQ and it still performed just fine

It's all good here.......
