That E8500 is a sweet chip, we maxed out FSB with 20c+ headroom, bugged around -130c

Can't have a better finish than this on my California / Nevada holidays.

Here is the setup we used today:

- CPU's : 1 QX9770 C1 and 1 retail E8500 that I just bought at Fry's for a good price ;)
- Mobo : Nvidia 790i Ultra SLI P05 Bios
- Mems: Corsair DDR3 - man Charles you got a LOT of DDR3 sticks from Corsair
- 2 Nvidia GTX 280's - full stock - no mods
- 1200 PSU
- Lots of LN2
- Last but not least : Kingpin's F1 CPU pot - I hope you can came next time Vince my friend :)

And that's it for now, hope your enjoy the results ..we saved some of then an will post on the ORB :yepp:

I don't know if mods are really needed...

This vga's are powerfull like the devil and seems to make same results as quad sli 9800... Too cpu limited... Only way is vantage. Sure the top clockers will make some new record but I think nothing spectacular without nehalem...

Anyway very good bench.

Fugger discover the wonders that single card run can do in some tests of our favorite game ;)

To bad I corrupt one of Fuggers XP HD's with my radical atempt to boot on Windows at 615x9.5, 120K maybe was possible even with the 2 cards on air ..

The GTX280's are really great and not just only in Nature, seems gonna be dificult to me to control not to buy a pair GTX280's, to bad they still are so dam expensive - seems I need to get a sponsor or my favorite game will get me bankrrupt :rolleyes:

ROFL pedro is a genius but he's not a miracle worker
maybe it's the driver i gotta check it as i was getting around 300FPS at lower settings but my efficiency is definitely not much worse to perdro's runs in KP's thread
