The real question isnt in Vista and XP its 32bit and 64bit.
32bit can only allocate 4GB of memory. Your system adresses soem memory, so you will likely only see 2.8GB-3.4GB depending on your system.
2GB was fine for me in Vista, but 4GB cant hurt.
Thanks. This is a very good lesson.:D 64 bit is for server, is it??

No its for anything now.
So I guess Vista do work for 64 bits ?
what is diff between 32 and 64 bits in speed or else ? Thanks
I was running Vista x32 the other day with 4gb OCZ ReaperX pc8000 and i did see a difference moving up from 2gb, but now i installed vista x64 and i do see a bit more improvement even with some games like Filght Simulator X, Cryshyt and Lost Planet Colonies.
That is sound good. With the x64 would it effect to all software / does the software support for x64?? Thanks for educated me.
I got the Gigabyte X48-DQ6, I wondering it would support x64??

everything will be in 64bit in the close future
3GB ram is not enough
BTW, Lots of ram to make a ram disk is fun too~~
So I better use the Vista 64 now with 4G RAm for now. thanks
