I'm not into AMD field but I recognise when a good system is emerging.

Get the 4850 hotfix & no renaming needed http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894 Radeon Support - PC section from there.
It also works for the 3800 series as that what im using now with GRID

Please first finish with current drivers and then just do a few heavy hitting benchies with the hotfixes, would give us a clear view what it does with HD 4850 as well:D

Also, try running 8x AA, from other reviews it seems that the HD 4850 hardly gets any performance drops from it (at least relative compared to other GPU's).

the SB 750 is nothing but smoke and mirrors. looking around the net here and there and from what i get its like playing the lotto your cpu either goes no were goes medium or the rare few go real high.

but get this. spider set up with 3870's gets the same score as a q9650 with a 8800ultra LOL with the spider @ 3 ghz and the intel set up @ 3.6 - 4ghz. they didnt remember what speed they were at. how do you forget what speed you were at LOL

ATI heavily optimise their drivers for 3DMark, and other benchmark games for that matter. Theres quite a few posts about people having to disable CrossFire to play games, or having other irritating issues.

:confused:, looks like you won the jackpot then. Everyone knows some CPU's OC worse than others, but the idle freezing is still an issue caused by SB600. If you dont suffer from it, as I said, consider yourself lucky;)

I got to admit I see the least issues from Asus though indeed.

Have you noticed that there is no pictures to show?

That's true ... Obviously Crysis doesn't like the new 4850 when 3 are put together ...

The game was tested and re-tested at 1920x1200 with VeryHigh and without AA, and despite the frames that were appearing to be relatively high, the experience of the game, has left much to be desired ...

This is because the game was always having hiccups with large variations of frames and behaved so strange.

And if graphically there is nothing to point, everything went well, the gameplay has always been badly affected.

Certainly, I think this is a matter of drivers and that they need a fine tuning to go well ...

But for now I give the benefit of the doubt to ATI, as I used the first drivers (or alias hotfix) for the 48xx.

But I think they should have thought that at those prices, 3 graphics cards are really attractive to have in CF!

As so, and not to misleading the readers of this review (because the high value of frames during the game will not match experience which should equate), I decided not to submit the results.

Let's wait for news about future drivers, because for now Tri and Quad-CF with the Crysis is a really frustrating experience ...

i think the biggest thing is setting everything in the bios manually whether its stock volts or not.

they're either rushed chips or just not the good ones.
matter of fact at the end yours has BPMW mine has EPMW.
socktmans looks like he has your twin.
in the batch thread there where only two of these 0812 one with boogle @ 3013mhz on air.
& the weedman 3000mhz on water

I had searched on InforTech forum for this test and I didn't find it, can you provide the link?

Like tbone8ty I'm also at your/LPC disposal for any help. Tony's guide it's a good start to learn the basics of Phenom's OC, and I also recommend the KTE's thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=167447 (it's for MSI boards, but also have valuable info for every 790FX system).

I've read that. I flowed that before I even got my computer, & got to post on the forums lol

well I have bios 1.4 on msi K9a2. I had to bump my NB volts & my HT volts, with the core.

that won't work if you have three card it only go's 16x 2.0 if you have two.

same with the MSI board. two ard 16x 2.0 for both

three cards one card is 16x 2.0 the other two are 8x in 2.0.

four cards are all 8x in 2.0 same, but you could just run them as 1.1 at all 16x.
