I would be glad to hear your OC experince with a 169W peltier on a barton cpu...
planning on buying one myself but it would be nice to hear your results..

You'll want more watts than that.
like a 226 watt pelt.

i know id would give me much better cooling but its hard to find a rather cheap powersupply that punches out 24amp at 12v...
btw got any oc/temp with a 169w+?

Nope, but you might not get much better results from a 169watt than from just regular watercooling.
Remember, the pelt won't give you 169watts of heat removal, they use more power than they remove. If that makes any sense......

sure I know how they work.. but thx anyway :-)
but what I am looking for are some results... if the result is 20c full load its very fine for me...

Should snag you around 15-20c I would think.... maybe?
or maybe not
KnightElight had a 226 for around 10c IIRC.

as a suggestion, Powmax has a very high amp rating for its 12v on its psu's i was thinking of doing the same thing you are, and it was gunna cost me $24 for the psu. check around for powmax psu's i thikn 450watts+ will have it.
i use a 500watt from them and it has 25A on the 12v.

a barton@2v and 2.4ghz puts out more than 120W of heat already...

2v!! whoa!
my 1700+ is doing 2400ish @ 1.65-.7v
2v puts out ALOT more heat.
on my 2100b and 1800a 2v+ would REALLY stress my ax-7 with a smartfan2 on it at fullblast.
adn at 1.5v or so i can good exelent temps with low fan speed.

my silent hsf from coolermaster keeps my cpu at 40-45°C , eve with 2v running through it.

i really dont think you need 2v for 2.4..but each chip is diff...i hit 2.4 w/ 1.725 on my 1700dlt3c 0322 mpmw...w/ temps about 37idle-45/7 full load
