Hi, I'm new here. I just built my computer and installed Vista, but after a little bit I wasn't able to restart properly. Here's what happens:
I click on restart, and Vista shuts down and once it does, my computer is still on, but it doesn't post after and restart. It just stays at a blank screen. I can start the computer normally and do a shutdown, but the restart function doesn't work. Any idea why?

Check your ACPI functionality in the BIOS and inside Vista. Try turning all power saving functions off in Vista to start. Since SP1 schemes like sleep and hibernate have been giving folks lots of problems.
