Hello,
I decided to slim down my Vista Ultimate 64Bit copy. I used vLite in the past in order to slipstream SP1 and integrate a Raid driver. I just wanted to cut the stuff I don't use.
I removed services and burned a new copy on to a DVD. I loaded it, and all went well. I created a user account and was able to pick the time zone and such.
After the performance test the computer restarts and new to me was the screen saying, "Installing Service Pack. 3 of 3. 100% Completed." The PC restarts and again shows the same thing. It does its final restart and I get an error, "winload.exe is corrupt or missing..."
What might be the problem? I did some testing and found out that my Vista plus integrated SP1 copy installs fine. I only get the error if I try to install Vista with services removed. :(
