I was wondering how much voltage you guys are using.
Right now i am using 1.29v on the CPU (xeon 3350) 1.63v on the northbridge (x38 chipset) and 1.34v vtt all under load.
The northbridge voltage is a bit high and i am wondering if i should back down.
I can run a lot less voltage if i run 3.5 ghz compared to the 3.55 right now but then again i hate to run below the full potential. Northbridge is watercooled and never exceeds 35 degrees btw.
Post your voltages you are using for 24/7 use if you like.
Omg.. dude, there are 100 and 100's of posts of exactly this...
how can you miss it.

All i can see is a post abut vtt voltages. Can't find anything about chipset voltage on x38/x48 boards. It's quite vital info because you do need excessive voltage if you wanna max out a 45nm quad.

I'd go with the 3.5 with safer volts.

Only on the X38's ;)
My Q9450 is folding 24/7 at 3.8ghz with 1.32v VTT and 1.52v MCH in my IP35 Pro.
The same chip needed over 1.4v VTT to run at the 440mhz limit (3.5ghz) on the X38 Maximus Formula SE I owned for all of 2 weeks before I got rid of the POS.

Well if the nb is well cooled (as you say it is) it should not be a problem. But yeah, 1.63v is quite a bit more than usual...

Currently priming 446 fsb with 1.61v northbridge and 1.37 vtt and it is looking good. This latest beta bios really did a lot.
The CPU was good for 3.8 on a P35 but if i can get this stable i am somewhat satisfied considering i got a crossfire platform for the nice upcomming ATI 4870's. :p:

Hey Mustrum,
Have you changed your GTL numbers at all after upping the VTT or just left them stock?
thx
