Just wondering what the general opinion is about 4GBs of ram and 32bit Vista.

I just went to 4GBs and was wondering if there is really any benifit to running a 64bit os

I game alot and use the rig to watch movies on my 61" tv, do some capping as well. A little video encoding with cinema craft and tmpgenc
I dont mind making the conversion to 64bit, just want to know if I will benifit from the hassle

Using SP1 in regular vista "sees" 4GB.
I would go for that if you don't want to experiment more on x64

Yeah vista 32 if configured right can see 4 gigs but will use only 2 gigs. To unleash the full potential of 4 gigs you need an 64bit OS.

Vista 64bit and gamming, is there much of an issue anymore?
I'm not hard core gamer but I like to run a few of the more popular titles

WOW
bioshock
mass effect
lost planet
gh3 ( my son honest):D

After SP1 Vista x86 (32bit) will SEE 4GB but will still only use 3.25 - 3.50Gb of the ram installed.
If i was u i would upgrade to Vista x64, i do alot of gaming and have had no issues (mainly COD4 and the Battlefield series)
Plus i saw 8GB of DDR2 the other day for £120ish not rubbish either - i nearly went back to ddr2 just for that, lol
