OC help with MAX3 and 2.8c

See spec for system:

I can "only" boot into Windows at 14*262. Kan anybody help me please?
My BIOS is saying version 12 when booting.

Giving the cpu from 1.525 to 1.750 = nothing helps. Dont think that it is the cpu which is bad cause I can easily boot at 4000mhz, and I see in the forum that most people with PROMETIA have around 3700-4000 mhz with this cpu??

Have anyone tried tha "Bigtoe hacked bios" for the MAX3???

I tries the bigtoe bios.
But for me I still can't get over 265 FSB at 5-4
Tried everything i know of.
But It runs very stable at 260FSB stock voltages all the way around.

My rails are fine. I've just tried the moddet bios by bigtoe with spectrum disabled...didnt help :mad:

its like when I overclock with all above FSB 266-268 now it boots right away in xp just when the "welcome" picture dissapears.

After reading those links I dont think it is the cpu or a cooling problem...more the MAX3 which is crappy :(

Its PC4000 ddr500 GEIL ram. They should be able to run at that speed, but I have tied:

2:3 and 4:5 and 1:1
2.5 4 4 7 and 3 4 4 8

auto on the GAT and so

Nah man, your cpu has just maxed out imo :)

PC 4000 is best for 1:1 overclocks, it doesn't do well at 5:4.
Try some PC3500 or 3700 for 5:4 overclocks. With my OCZ
4000 Gold I get 265-270fsb max no matter what divider I
use. With Hyper X3500, I can hit 290fsb, and I run 280 for everyday use.
You'll never max out your cpu at 1:1,you need to use 5:4.

Using 3:2 doesn't really help much.
This is probably the max for my cpu,
using 1.8vc. (ouch)

Well now after reinstalling the Prometia Head I reached 3800mhz at 1.800v and the mem at 1:1. with 3.2v

But I dont understand that the then sometimes it just boots also at lower vcore. Its like the windows aint that stable with this max3.
I have som great temps now, but then I can boot into Win at FSB275 with 1:1 and then afterwards I cant ?? (the memory is quit warm, so I have planted af cooler above them = dosnt help.

sorry to say this , but your CPU is just maxed out

I don't think he's maxed out, he just needs to ditch
the PC4000 for some PC3700 at 5:4, he'll get higher fsb,
tighter timings and higher mhz.
