Called one of my retailers and they told me the stock of their 2.4Cs are made in Malay L533 or L 53 something
Anyone know how well do they clock?
Only seen some Q33* and to be more specific one i bought for a mate of mine 2 weeks ago did 3600 on air @ 1.6Vcore so i am looking for one to replace my 3.0C chip.
Also asked another retailer and ive been told the boxes have no info on where they are made from...so any idea where would these be made?
Thanx in advance. :)

I thought about the same thing matey...
when i mailed them i was told they have some L32 ones in stock...
i asked if they could be more specific and they never replied on what the full numbers were...
do the L32 clock well then?
Another retailer of mine will be getting some more by wednesday prolly so i will be asking about their stock as well

L32 is a cpu from 2003...and week 2x something. If it's a 21 they do overclock very very well. Mine hit 3.9Ghz

Their the absolute kings of overclocking at the moment. MY L320A735 2.4C does 3.6GHz at default vcore, and barely breaks a sweat at 33c to 36C at highest. If your guy can get you those buy them. their most definately 4GHz performers in the right environment, and it needn't be phase-change. I'll be proving by Thursaday come Hell or High Water that at least 3.9GHz can be accomplished using a Swity MCX4000-Tec (oh baby I can see/smell the blue smoke now)....

I also have a second Q320A287 2.4C Malay, which does 3.6GHz at 1.550Vcore. Their great overclocker's but the L310A735 is a flawless overclocker, and much more stable at high FSB. Would you PM me about possible trade, or sell, or something? I wan5t more, and you can get L320's Malay 2.4C's wellthen, get em. Their going to be discontinued next month. I tel will no longer make these.
Their basically the better Nrothwood-D cores, and are the same core's found in the 3.2C's. Obviously if i can run a 2.4C at default vcore on a 865 motherboard at 300FSB (400Mhz over the speed of their flagship) then that's a dam good stepping. Here's the Q320A287, although this is no-where near it's performance ceiling...

So you reckon anything under Q32* or L32* will clock very well whatever they finally are...Q330-Q335-Q338 etc etc...

its all about luck. it might do 3.3G and it might do 3.6G. the prod. code doesn't mean much (malay chips are generally better than others thou).

Yes I just put in again and it's running right now, wee! Wating on a MCX4000-Tec, and geting a Danger Den kit this week, my first H20 kit! Anyway, I'm going to put my L310A735 back in for the H20 kit, because it has the IHS removed, so i think it'll benefit more then the average P4 2.4C. I'll tell ya what, I have a 2.8C, and it won't overclock for nothing. It'll run at 3.5GHz, but needs like 1.625Vcore to remain stable. I wonder if my PCPower&Coolling is begininng to age?
Here's the last bench using Twin-X4000 at SPD, 2.8V, 266FSB, and the Q320A287. I need a mobo so bad my mind is slipping.

Liquid3D for your 2.4Cs to run 3.6ghz what vcore they're at ?
I just got 2 new 2.4C Q322A285 and put my first in replacing the other 3 costa rica 2.4C i have and the Q322A285 already blew them all away @ 275fsb default vcore. Costas needed at least 1.7-1.75v to do 275fsb
