Yesterday i tested a new E8400 on the Biostar Tpower I45
E8400 in AIR , 1 core & single channel (630mhz on air 2 cores & dual channel)
Boot to 555*6 and jump to 645 ^^ , memset setting was 5-6-6-15-18 -6-45-11-14-16-5-8-6-6-3120T-2T

I tested the board before with a E8500,
E8500 under Cascade , (625mhz on air on this board)

I will do more test under cold :D

Great results. How much FSB do those 2 CPU's get on Commando? :)
To celebrate, you have to send that board to me :p:
nice to see Biostar bringing the goods :) Lets see some SPi32M at a higher multi ;)

Nice to see a very good FSB on a Biostar.... try higher multi and push it :)

Awesome work as usual man :)
Do you know if biostar planning to release DDR3 + P45?

I want to see that same FSB using multiplier 7x, please :-)

Yes , but for 10-11 /2008

I'm also waiting for this !
Would be great to have a P45+DDR3, high fsb and good scores.
Does 8x/8x CF bridle the performances ?

Darn, thats incredible performance, congrats :-)
Wish it would support DDR3 sooner.
Then why release old socket  DDR3 for average Joe? :D

Then you're misinformed ;).

Seems that P45 mobo's like Wolfdale cpu's. First P5QE Dlx (ddr3 board) an now Biostar's TPower. Want to see Commando vs. TPower vs, P5QE Dlx soon :D
Then you're misinformed ;).
Boards for average Joe don't count :D
the TP45 HP also :D , just out of box and first boot ^^

in case of 06, only 100p difference with 16-16,vantage 50-70p difference. but in case of gaming performance it differs up to 7fps at bioshock 95-102fps..
again nice results Thomas, lets see some xtreme benching session

I don't think you'll switch to Nehalem if you can't get a decent frequency out of it :p:

Very nice FSB Thomas  so how lower Perf Lvl of memory is can get about ~600FSB ?
wait to see more benching buddy ;)

It has several SS from BIOS.
great board !!! Any bench ???
This week end :D
now i m testing DS5 :)
and before to test all board under cold , i want to know max fsb on air on all :p

Holy Cheap Motherboard! Nicely done Thomas, wonder how much more you can pull out of those chips. You are an FSB clocking master.

Wow! Nice FSB on that inexpensive board. Good job! :D

My QX9650 C0 did 515 on air
and
2* QX9650 C1 did 520mhz.
My QX9650 C0 did 515 on air
and
2* QX9650 C1 did 520mhz. Unfortunately thats not the norm m8, quads have FSB issues and 450 is usually good going.
Plus quads push a heavy load onto the MCH which will lower its ability to run FSB.

Pt1t says he's had 3 quads do 500+, perhaps this board/chipset allows a little bit more fsb than we've seen so far
any word on stability at those speeds Pt1t? good job on 645 by the way

i tested the QX950 C0 on P5QE and it did also 515mhz, Boot @ 500mhz .
This chip did 490 on X48T DQ6 and 470 on foxconn blackOPS.

Back on topic, this board seems very tempting, might have to get one to play around with.

no, I mean it.
my P45 can do 4.8GHz on air with 1.55v vcore.
I wonder how much can this 4-phase board can handle.
in reality we need high main clock for daily operation instead of 1:1 FSB high.

as most ppl can't get a 6xx FSB CPU, especially on Retail Box as all of us should know.
while it is much more easy to get a 5xx one,
so it would be nice to see this board runs at 5xx FSB, divider at 5:6 so that memory runs at 12xx-13xx.
Here is pics of retail Board
