Fresh Vista Install and Raid 1

Should I just install Vista on one of the two drives, and then when it is fully set up, go into the bios and have it do the mirroring for raid 1? Or is there some way to set up the raid 1 first, and still have vista not screw it up when it does it's format during installation.

You should be able to set up the array from the sata raid bios itself before installing Vista. Granted Vista can find the array on its own, while installing Vista the mirroring should be done automatically. If the Vista installation cannot find the array be sure to have the controllers drivers handy on a floppy, usb flash drive etc to point Vista to in order to find the array.
