Hi all! Like the subject says, I want to know what kind of cooling is necessary to take a rev.1.04 a7n8x dx to, let's say, 220FSB (or higher  ) Right now, with the stock heatsink and thermal-bubblegum I got 200 (my 120mm cpu fan kinda blows on the chipset heatsink, so that is prolly part of my luck). I was going to build a waterchiller, but idk if it is worth it...give me ur two cents, please :toast:
thanx,

Hello and Welcome to the XTREME!
The A7N8X never loved FSB although many peeps managed to get a respectable FSB from them. I do however believe that most required a volt mod way before coming close to 220FSB.
Do you know of the slim server coolers? Akasa for example make one and these would be perfect for NB Chipset cooling. If you look through the air cooling section you'll see many that have done this.
AMD Stock coolers or maybe even a small cooler from Cooljag would also make ideal air coolers for such chipsets. As you are with AMD water on the chipset will help whereas if you are with Intel (which you are not) air on the NB is fine as the Intel chipsets create less heat due to their manufacturing process.
