I am modding my old raidmax 668wbp tower into something more like a 830 stacker and I have run into a bit of a problem.

Planned setup for reference:

4 Intake fans on the side
1 Rear exhaust
1 or 2 Intake fans on front
1 or 2 Exhaust or Intake fan on the top
2 or 3 fans on IFX-14

Total: 9-12 fans

I plan on using very high cfm 120mm fans throughout (think Scythe DFS123812-3000 and Scythe SY1225SL12SH) of course having them all on a fan controller(s).

Here is the snag I have run into. I want the OPTION to be able to open up every fan in my case to full tilt whether I will do it very often or not. This poses a bit of a problem because each kaze 3000 is .6amps and each slipstream is .53amps

I have checked a lot of fan controllers, some don't list their amps/watts per channel and some are somewhat low (considering my application) with the Kaze master 5.25 having 1a on each of 4 channels.

I have no problem stripping wires on fans and combining 2 or 3 together for use on a fan controller, but the problem still persists that I don't know of a fan controller able of pushing 2 or 3 fans at full tilt on a single channel.

Is my only option to use several fan controllers or are there some controllers I have overlooked or misunderstood?

It's not the coolest looking fan controller, but this one is rated at 30 Watts per channel (should be 2.5 Amps at 12V) and has 6 channels.
It's out of stock at Petra's, but in stock at Jab-tech.

Don't forget your earplugs for when you crank those up, the Ultra Kaze 3000 RPMs sound like leaf blowers but they move some serious air:up:.

Awesome thanks man!

I guess I'll go with a rheobus extreme and put the majority of my case fans on it and use a 5.25 kaze master for controlling and reading my heatsink fans.

About the sound, yea that's the main reason why I wanted everything on fan controllers! My computer is in my bedroom, and I don't think I could sleep at night with multiple leaf blowers running :P The times I set all 9-12 fans to full tilt may be rare, but I'm the kind of person that wants to know there is a little extra something 'under the hood' for when I want to use it :D

Thanks again man! :)

Ultra Kazes are poor for fan controlling.

I had an ultra kaze 2000 on my rheo extreme, high pitched motor noise no matter the speed.

Hmm really? Every review on the egg (I have read the first 7 pages or so) had no mention of motor whine noise on or not on a fan controller, just massive noise from the air being moved.

Full speed is just "normal" motor noise, the more you reduce speed, the more noticeable the whine is.

I'm only comparing to Yates, Zalman F3 and S-Flex Fs that I have, far superior fans for varying speeds.

Have any experience/thoughts on the 1900rpm SlipStreams (110cfm ones) on a fan controller?

I am looking for fans that will be decently quiet on low rpm but rattle the earth and blow retarded amounts of air when I bring them up to full tilt. What would you recommend? :)

BTW, you can use the rheobus extreme to control the fans, and something "else" to monitor the rpm's. It's cables seperate the rpm sensor, and you can place that some where else.
