Hi there

Just about to order my new system and wanted to ask a question regarding air cooling, I want a cpu cooler that has great performance, isnt to noisey and can be fitted via a backplate, I dont like the push pin system that some coolers use ... any suggestions ?

first recommendation would most likely be the Thermalright u120-extreme. you can choose the fan you want to use with it so you can limit the noise created, it uses a backplate, is one of the top rated coolers, and does a hell of a job cooling the processor :)

Thanks for the reply thetox ... what size fan fits? and how does it fix to the cooler? it sounds perfect tho

120mm with a noctua fan you could have a very decent air to noise ratio

You can even mount a pair of fans on that cooler for push-pull, I used to do that with my Ultima before I changed my fan arrangement in my case.
